Hello listers,
Margaret Foster forwarded the following to me, regarding the probate of
Elisabeth Follmer, wife of Adam Christ/Crist Sr: From the probate of
Elisabeth Follmer Crist, will dated 9 Nov. 1831, recorded 21 Dec. 1831,
Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, concerning property, "lot 183 in
Milton," Pennsylvania, and listing the following heirs, who signed the
paper: Elizabeth (wife of John Snook), Sarah Sweney (wife of John Sweney,
Henry Crist, George Crist, Eve (wife of Peter Eppler) Catherine (wife of
John Gann/Gunn), Peter Crist (wife Mary), Mary (wife of Jacob Frantz.)
The list of Adam Crist and Elisabeth Follmer's children as appeared in the
May 1994 Crist Update, sent to me by Brenda Creasy: Moille m. Jacob France,
Elizabeth m. John Snook, Catherine m. John Gunn, Eve m. Peter Epler, Martha
m. John McPherson, Sarah m. John Sweeny, Henry, George, John m. Mary Davis,
Adam m. Martha Dentlear.
Realizing that Adam Jr. had died in 1824, the other child who doesn't appear
on the probate paper is Martha. Also Peter Crist instead of John? I
believe it is agreed from Adam Sr.'s probate that there were 10 children.
If anyone can help shed light on these discrepancies, I would like to hear
from you.
Happy Holidays,
Suzanne Frantz
