I have been trying to fine more information on my grandfather's family. The
given names most common are Conrad, Jacob, John and James. Going back from
my grandfather it appears (as told to me) that the names are Conrad Jacob
b:1915 d:1962, Conrad b: ? d: 1922, then it is a John or Jacob (can't
remember) then alternating back. I was told that they were Hungarian and
German...
I have a Conrad Christ married to Anna Marie Yekel Hoffman (her father maybe
a Conrad Hoffman). Conrad Christ was from Pottstown, PA died about 1922 in
PA. It is said that he was married prior to marrying Anna and may have had
children
by his first marriage. Anna later married a Joe Nagy and they moved about
1926 to Tomball, Texas. She died in 1940 in Tomball, Texas. Conrad and Anna
are the parents of Conrad Jacob Christ my grandfather. He was born Apr 24
1915 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Married Tessie Morene Paris July 18, 1939
Houston, Texas. He died July 23, 1962 in South Houston, Texas is buried in
Alvin, Texas at the Confederate Cemetery. His sibs were John James Christ d:
1960 Tomball, Texas and married Abigail "Winnie" and Susie Christ married
Paul West.
I know nothing other than what I have stated about my grandfather's family
but would like to know where he came from and how and when his family came
to the USA.
If you know anything about this family I would appreciate you contacting me
at strd(a)alaska.net.
