Jeger, Ma
Hello,
This is my first posting to the list. I am interested in the life and
family of Adam Christ/Crist, of Berks and Northumberland (Union) Counties,
Pennsylvania, and his wife Elizabeth Follmer or Fulmer, who are in my direct
line.
I have been working on the family of their daughter Anna Maria for a long
time and would like to verify that she is indeed their daughter. Anna Maria
was born 2 Dec. 1776 in Pennsylvania and died 16 July 1851 in Lockport or
Royalton, Niagara County, New York. She married Jacob F. Frantz. Both are
buried under an obelisk at Dysinger (Royalton Union) Cemetery in Royalton,
NY, which I visited this past July. Both Jacob's and Anna Maria's birth and
death dates are written out in full on the stone. I have researched their
children, in particular the line of their son Jacob Christ Frantz.
Jacob and Anna Maria lived in Northumberland (now Union) County
Pennsylvania, but by 1808 had migrated to Fayette, Seneca County, New York,
and then by 1835 to Lockport, Niagara County. They were involved with the
Lutheran and Reformed Church at both places. Jacob Christ Frantz and his
family later migrated to St. Clair County, Michigan, where many descendants
still live.
I would be happy to share my research with anyone interested and I am most
eager to learn about Anna Maria's link to Adam Christ. I am sending this
message to the Crist surname list as well, so apologies if anyone receives a
double post.
Thanks so much,
Suzanne Frantz
