>Subject: SirCam32 Virus Is Running Rampant
>
>The SirCam32 worm virus has become very wide spread. It comes from many
>friendly addresses and picks up a different Subject line each time. The
>only constant is that the message text includes the phrase: "I send you
>this file to have your advice." This virus has gone right through the
>current McAfee and F-Prot virus scanners although Norton 2001 with the
>current definitions has been catching it. This virus will go into your
>address book and sends itself to your friends and family and you can
>receive it from them when they did not intend to send it. This virus has a
>payload date of October 14th which is to say, on October 14th it will erase
>your harddrive if it still present on your computer on that date. If you
>think you may have this virus or are worried about having it, please go to
>http://www.symantec.com/downloads. Click on "virus removal tools".
Choose the W32.SirCam.Worm@mm. and download the tool to your computer or a
floppy disk. After it is downloaded double-click the file and it will check
your harddrives and delete the virus if it is present.
