My father's name was George Chouinard, born Vegreville, Alberta, Canada in 1915 or 1916. He had three or four sisters. Their names were Gabrielle, Blanch, Eva (died in childbirth) and possibly one named Germaine. His dad's name was Sylvio Chouinard (married Jenny St. Hilaire.)
Sylvio had two or three brothers that apparently moved to the United States after WW1. They never kept in touch. Would you have any info on this family? If not could you point me in the right direction?
Thank you for your time.
Linda
Hi,
Anyone related to those two families:
Louis Chouinard and Vitaline Desrosiers --1890
Jacques-Jacob Chouinard and Beatrice Desrosiers (DuTremble). --circa 1840
Most probably in the north east U.S., but there was so many movements that
descendant might be spread around.
Chouinard could also have been transform to Shuinar, Schouinar, Sweenar,
Swenar, and alike, sound like.
Alain Chouinard
Note:
Jacob was son of Jacques Chouinard-Marguerite Proulx
Beatrice was daughter of Louis DuTremble dit Desrosiers, and
Priscile(Procule) Chouinard.
