Judy,
I believe the only time titles such as 1st, 2nd, 3rd Sr. Jr. etc. are used is when the Surname is the same and goes down through a direct line. Namesakes (i.e. nephews, cousins) with the same surname do not use titles.
With females, Jr. is used when the first, middle and last name are the same as the mother's name.

when male descendants of a blood line are given the same first and middle names can they be labeled first, second, third, etc. according to birthdates even if the sir names are different ??? i.e. Can a daughter name her son after her father and call the new son a 2nd even though the new son's last name will be different ?
