Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

It's Bev {: )
I have been contacted by a lady looking for information on Curtis and
Lucinda's daughter, Nancy Ellen Choate. I know that Nancy married David Alexander
Bryant and one of their daughters was Mary L. Bryant and she married Joseph
Patton. This lady is looking for information on the Patton side of the family. I do
not have Joseph Patton's parents info in my database. I know that Joseph and
Mary were married in 1877 in Caldwell Co., KY.
If anyone has any of this info, would appreciate you letting me know so I can
get you in touch with her. I probably have some of the info, but am going in
for an angioplasty on Wed. morning, and don't really have the time, right now,
to dig out old files from the shed!
Thanks for your time, and hope all is well out there in Choate genealogy
land!!!!!
Always, Bev Casey {: )

This is the URL address for the USGS (United States Geographical Survey).
Follow some links and you may find what you want if you are lucky. I'm not sure
Anyone can put in a home address and get an aerial map of their area. Kind of
fun

This is the URL for DeedMapper a program that some genealogists use. There is
a fee. I don't know anything else about it.

Does anyone have map making skills, I would like to draw a map of a piece of land, approximately 80 acres, that I have inherited. I have an aerial map of the area and measurements in minutes and degrees but can't figure out exactly the shape of the piece. Is there a computer program I can do this on ? Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. thank you, Judy
