Milburn,
Thank you for that information regarding W. T. Choat. I have gotten a
response regarding J. A. Choat. He was John Arthur Choat, son of Augustine
Davidson and Dorcas Garrison Choat of York Co., SC. William was the brother
of my GGGGgrandfather, Augustine Choat of Bath Co., KY.

Hi Shawn: I do not know who the parents of J.A. Choate but I believe
that the parents of W.T. (William T.) Choate are Joseph Peter Choate and
Polly Ann (Unknown). I have William T. being born in MS in 1839. I
noticed that some of the other children of Joseph Peter and Polly Ann
were born in AR. Hope this helps -- good luck on your search.
Milburn W. Lawson

I have put together a website thru AOL honoring my mothers side of the
family, she was a Choate from Adair county (Bunch) Ok. It does not have a lot
of text information but does serve my purpose of putting them in a place of
well deserved recognition.
