Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

The following list was published in the Fentress County Gazette
in early May, 1913. It reads:

...this is a small amount compared to the roll, while in
1877 we had a G. A. R. Post at Jamestown with 108 members.
This article posted just as it reads in paper with no attempt to
correct spelling, etc. I hope someone on the list finds an ancester.

This from the Fentress Co TN list came across my radar screen. I'm not sure
who these folks are, but this looks like the luck of the Southern Choate
women. She had to pay court costs!
