Good morning everyone and Happy New Year,
Sarah Chivers is reported to have came free on the 'Elizabeth' in 1806. From
a book listing shipping movements to 1825 the arrival date of the
'Elizabeth' was 5 June 1806. In the 1822 Muster Sarah says she arrived on
that ship and in that year. It appears that no detailed shipping records for
that period have survived.
Could someone please suggest where I could look next to find out who she
was. I thought of trying to find what port the 'Elizabeth' left England from
and seeing what information is available but I have no idea where to start.
Is that a good idea or not?
Regards,
