Does anyone know of any Chitwood reunions in Campbell Co., TN this summer/fall? Next spring? I think there was one in May but I missed it.

My grandfather, Robert Andrew Duncan B. 1851 (son of Sarah C Chitwood and
Charles Browning Duncan (B.13 Mar 1823) wrote down a history which he gave
to me in 1976. He wrote that brothers Charles B. & Andrew J. Duncan did
indeed marry daughters of Joel Chitwood (1789-1869). Andrew married Dicy and
Charles married Sarah C. This was his 1st wife (evidenced by children's
birth dates). Their children were: William Joel (born 1 July 1849 in Rocky
Comfort, McDonald County, MO died 6 July 1910 Barry County, MO); my great
grandfather, Robert Andrew Duncan (born 20 Feb 1851 Wheaton, Barry County,
MO died 13 Mar 1932 Wheaton Barry County, MO); Nancy Margaret (born 1853);
Sarah S. Duncan (born April 1855 died Aug. 1855 Barry County, MO). Sarah C.
Died Oct. 1855. He then married Sarah K. Higgs June 24, 1858. The children
of this marriage: James A. (born 1859 Barry County, MO dies 1942 Barry
County); Charles Browning, Jr (born 1866 died 19 Nov. 1937 Contra Costa
County, CA); Oliver (!
I've seen Oliver K & Oliver M and Oliver McDuff...my grandad called him
Duff", so McDuff may be his middle name (born 1868); Julia Ann (born 1869
died 1943 Barry County, MO she married John L. Barnett). Sarah K Higgs died.
Charles B. Then married a third time to a Tennessee Clark Inman who was a
widow of Peter Inman and had 2 girls coming from this marriage. These 2
daughter's of Tennessee married William J Duncan (Charles B's 1st son) and
James A. (Charles B's 3rd son). Tennessee and Charles B. Has 2-3 children (I
have seen a third listed, but Grandad wrote only about Perry & Myrtle).

Do you have any info on Daniel and Polly's daughter Elizabeth Jane? Did she marry a J A Spence? Here's the story my great grandmother Mary E.Spence Knight told her family...Union soldiers found Mary and a brother alone and hungry at their farm in GA. Her mother and father were either dead or dying of cholera. The soldiers took the children and found a relative - who she called Uncle Tom Chitwood of Chattanooga, TN. He took them to TN, but she married my great grandfather William T. Knight in GA and they eventually moved to AL. Have you ever heard this story?
