Cynthia Chitwood was married to James Black. Her POB was Reynolds Co., MO. She was supposed to be half Indian.
Her daughter was Phoebe Ann Black Williams DOB 6/26/1875 and DOD was 3/22/1944. I have information on Phoebe because she is my grandmother but can't find anything on James Black or Cynthia.

Sarah Chitwood (wife of Charles B. Duncan) was a COUSIN to John Chitwood (d 1848 Newton Co, MO).
Her parents were Joel Chitwood and Susanna Corn. John’s parents were Joel’s brother John Chitwood and wife Salley Farrell.
John Chitwood married Nancy, the widow of Sanford King, whose will is also shown @ http://www.rootsweb.com/~monewton/wills/wills1_275.htm
NEWTON COUNTY WILL BOOK VOL. 1 , Page 189 - 6 Oct 1866- 27 Nov 1866.
NANCY CHITWOOD of Newton CO, Missouri -
Son William D. King, $100, one bed and bedding. The rest of my household and kitchen furniture. 3 cows and calves to my three daughters, Elizabeth R. Brown, Eliza C. Pearson and Rebecca A. Roark, to be equally divided among them. To Elizabeth Wilson, a 2 year old heifer and grain (described) in payment for services as nurse during my last sickness. To Joyce (Cold___), I give 2 year old heifer and 10 shoats in payment for services as nurse during my last sickness. To the heirs of my daughter, Jemima, who was the wife of Mitchell Tate (or Pate), $1.00. All the rest of my estate to my ten children viz: Polley, John, Matilda, Nancy, Sanford D., Elizabeth R., Eliza C., Martha J., William D. and Rebecca A. King or their heirs to be divided equally. James R. Pearson, executor.
Wit: William D. Ramsour, James H. Nimmo and James Hamilton
John Chitwood’s 1848 Will names his children by previous marriage, James Oliver and Sarah Ann, to receive his property after death of Nancy. James Oliver appears to have died in 1862 in Civil War, leaving a wife and 3 children living in 1870 Winn Parish, LA. His sister Sarah Chitwood, in 1870 was shown as “idiotic and pauper” living in “poor house” in Newton Co, MO. Evidently his property did not go to his own children in 1866, when Nancy died.

I have found Charles B age 27 born TN and Sarah C.age 20 born Mo and William 1 month in the 1850 Newton County census. I have written down some where Sarah died Oct. 1855. In the 1860 census the other children, Robert A, Nancy M. must have been children of Sarah C. also.
