I couldn't find anything - but I would guess that if they were in
Whitley KY they go back to Matthais Chitwood. I've forward your request
on to the chitwood list, maybe someone else has come across Eliza.

Regarding site @
http://digital.library.okstate.edu/kappler/Vol2/treaties/pia0111.htm:
Richard Chitwood (m. 1789 Greenbrier Co, VA, Mary Cantley) was Major of 2nd
Battalion of 1st Regiment, St. Louis County, MO Militia, in War of 1812. In
his son, John C. Chitwood's Pension Application (served as Pvt in same
Battalion), is described a skirmish near Arrow Rock with a group of
Winnebagos who had been harrassing settlers in the area. This Richard
Chitwood was son of Capt. James Chitwood, as proved by 1809 letter from St.
Louis to James Chitwood (son of Capt. James) in North Carolina.
Portage des Sioux is in St. Charles Co, MO, just north of St. Louis County,
where this Richard Chitwood also served as a Justice of the Peace, in St.
Ferdinand Twp. until his death in 1822. A list of officers in 1814,
Missouri Militia is posted @
