One of our new subscribers sent me some information on the Jackson family and
I did not get a chance to post it to the list and I have a friend who is in
the Jackson line that I would like to send her information. Please resend it
again and I promise I won't delete it again.

Thanks LaJean. I sent it along to the group. Have you checked Melissa's page
at http://members.aol.com/vanillabns/index.html or Julies at
http://surfree.homestead.com/chitwood/index.html. Melissa gave me permission
to use her page to get mine going at
http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=distad and I am
sure there are others that have pages.
I already had some of the ones that Melissa has and no doubt it Julie too,
but when I added Melissa's to mine I had to go over them one by one to try to
see that I had no duplicates, but had some anyway. Anyway in going through
them some of the states had so many Chitwood's and others who were related
that I could not believe it. The thing is that most can all be traced back to
Matthis and Mary Chitwood. For myself I came down the line of Captain James,
Joshua, James, Joshua, Elizabeth Kirkland (Chitwood) and then my own
grandmother Elizabeth Phillips (Kirkland). I find it fascinating how many
that are all really interconnected.
