Hi;
I'm researching the family history & ancestors/descendents of Thomas R & Elizabeth(nee Snashall) Chittenden, who married in 1849. I'd appreciate all information you have about their history, no matter how trivial, & no matter how remote your own link to them may be.
Thanks, in anticipation;
Greg Stapley, London, UK.

I am tracing the Chittendens of East MAlling,Kent England.
My ggg grandfather was John Chittenden, b, 1780, who first married Mary? and had 3 children, George, Anne & Samuel. He remarried after her death to Sarah? and had another 3 children, Sarah , Mary & John.
I believe John Chittenden,b. 1780, was one of the children of John Chittenden and Margaret Blunden, who married in 1765. Possibly his brother James married a Rebecca Blunden in 1777.
Does anyone know anything earler about these Chittendens?
There were earlier records of Chittendens in East Malling in the late 1500s, but the parish records do not contain anything about them between then and the mid 1700s.
Anne Fowler (nee Chittenden)
