I am very grateful for the reference which Arthur has given us.
I find that Chittenden families settled early (for the US) in our New
England section, but I have not been able to find out more about earlier in Kent.
I am hopeful one of you can help.
I am looking for information on Ann Chittenden who married Henry Wood in
1740 in Woodchurch, Kent. and Sarah Chittenden, who would seem to be her sister,
who married Henry's brother William Wood also in 1740 in Woodchurch.
William and Sarah seem to have moved later to High Halden, kent. I have
information on the Wood family both earlier and in later generations, but I have been
unable to find more about those Chittenden women.
Any help appreciated,
