Did any of your Chisum's/Chisholm's end up in MS?
As far as I know all the Montgomery CO, NC Chisholm's are related.
I think there was a will that was probated before September, 1923 for Murdock. A distant cousin had it posted on RootsWeb. She has been ill so it may or may not still be there...
Can you tell me something about your early generations of Chisholm's/Chisum's? I would like to dig deeper into this.
Nancy

Nancy, if my Chisum/Chisholm's connect to Murdoch, it's going to be a long way back! Mine were in Virginia/Maryland by the mid-1600s and didn't leave Virginia again until probably the 1830s, and then I don't know of any who went to North Carolina.
Are all the Chisholms (Daniel Sr., Daniel Jr., John, Murdoch, Malcolm, Anguish) in Montgomery County, NC, in 1800 related? I've never particularly researched this group, but I more or less assumed they were all of the same family.
What happened in Sep 1823 so that you know that Murdoch died before then?

Who is your Chisholm family? Where are/were they located? There's a good chance that they're related--at least if you go back far enough! :) My Chisums are related to Chisholms in the 1700s in Virginia. So you never know!
