Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
This list starts with ships to Canada but then includes those to NY, NC
MA.as far back as the 1680s.
If you don't know the name of the ship your ancestor was on you can
search the whole list. Go past the rectangular boxes with the red
printing and you find the manifests.

Reta Chisum Gross
GRUVER - Reta Chisum Gross, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, in Spearman.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Lieb Cemetery with the Rev.
Scott Curry and Gaylord Cook officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell
Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.
Mrs. Gross was a member of Gruver Church of Christ. She graduated from West
Texas State University with a bachelor's and master's degree in education.
She raised her family while completing her college education.
Reta taught for 27 years at Morse, Pringle and Gruver schools, touching many
lives. She was known for her greeting card ministry and her kindness and
generosity to all. She will be remembered by all those whose lives she
touched and her steadfast faith in the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mamie Caddel; and a
daughter, Jan Huffman in 2002.
Survivors include three daughters, Deborah Chisum of Gruver, and Teresa
Chisum and Kim Mauzy, both of Aledo; a sister, Ina Terrell of Ralls; two
grandsons, Jason Bratcher of Pennsylvania and Jeremy Bratcher and wife,
Darla, of Arlington; a great-grandson, Ashton James Bratcher of Arlington;
three nieces, Carolyn Moses of Ralls, Donna Williams of Gruver and Sandra
Mize of Lubbock.
The family suggests memorials be to Lubbock Children's Home, P.O. Box 2824,
Lubbock, TX 79408-9973.
