I am courious as to where you got your information about Redbuck Chisholm having children by an Indian woman. I have followed this man for several years and to the best of my knowledge, he only had children by Sarah Kilpatrick...please help me out on this.
Good Morning List,
I recently ordered from the Chester district Genealogical society a copy of
their Bulletin, Volume 25, number 23. I thought that I was ordering the
Thomas Chisholm of fishing Creek. I had no idea that there was another
Chisolm family in the area. So I decided to share with you and I hope that
someone will find it helpful.

Hello, I have been working for sometime on this line.
This line starts with John Chisum and Elleanor Gillientine of Amelia county, Va.
John Chism and Elleanor also had a son named Elisha, brother to Elijah Chisum who married Lucy Clairborne. A deed in Warren county, Kentucky, proves this. She named eight of her children and 11 grandchildren of the Estes family.
Elisha was married twice, once to Elizabeth Walden in 1787, Lincoln county, Kentucky, then to a Wenny? Some say her surname was Russell, Wenny was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist church in Tn. from 1803 to 1805, she was dismissed by letter in 1805, Also attending church with her was Elijah Chisum and Lucy Clairborne Chisum. This was Elisha's brother.
Elisha and Wenny migrated to Lawrence county, Ark. about 1817, Elisha is also on the 1820 census , Elisha died in 1827, nameing Wenny as executor and a son named Washington Childers. Then by 1831, Wenny and a son or stepson , Benjamin Chism migrated to Independence, then to Izard county, Ark. This family of Benjamin remains there up utnil sometime after 1860, Benjamin is found on all the tax list and voter poll list till sometime after 1860, along with his son William (Bill) Chism.
No one knows for certain, which children belong to Elizabeth Walden or Wenny. But there were children
Elizabeth who was born about 1794, who married a Gray.
George Washington Chism who married Elizabeth Caroline Burgess, Jane Lankford and Jane Knighten, Two known children Christopher Green and Elisha.
Benjamin Chism who married Polly Walker? daughter of JOhn Adam Walker and Elizabeth Hood.
Elleanor Nellie Chism who married John Adam Walker Jr. brother to Polly Walker Chism.
Russell Chism who was born Tn.
Elisha Chism
Simon Chism.
Benjamin Chism was born 1798, married Polly who was born 1803, North Carolina.
children were Isham, James, Henderson, William, Thomas, Benjamin, Wenny and Elizabeth and Elisha and Washington.
Henderson married a Mary E. Oaks in 1868, Lawrence county, Ark.
William married Mary Artimus Lewallen children Thomas who was born 1859, married Alabama Reeves,
John Green Chism born 1861
and Mary.
William Chism is my line, Thanks Vickie

I'm looking for information on Sophia Ann Chism, wife of James Thompson. Their son, William S. Thompson (b. 1870), married L.A. (Eliza) Peckenpaugh in Meade County, Kentucky on Dec. 28, 1890.
Dear List:
I have been researching the History of slaves that once belong to David
ChisholmeJr., for sometimes, recently I went to the Afro-Louisana web site
and entered his name. there were four hits, all of these hits were slaves
that he sold in Louisiana, the name of the slaves were Judith, Barnabe,
Sarah, and another one with out a name. what I have read about this man was
that he was a solider or maybe an attorney, however I believe that he sold
and traded in human chattel. In 1816 my great great great grandmother was
listed with her children, Hannah and Ned. I have found a few things in the
libraries with Ned's name and two of his brothers, but nothing of Hannah and
Bridget. my thought now is that he may have sold them.
If any one who belongs to the family of David Chisholme who may have during
their research come across any information on him and his sales, I would
appreciate if you would share with me. Also if anyone might lead me to the
areas that did a lot slaves sales, I would appreciate it and what information
that I have I am willing to share. thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Antoinette J. Russell
