Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Dear List, I found this information in the Louisa County Historical Magazine.
I hope that it may be of help to someone. the title is garland Waddy and

Garland Thompson Waddy Married Martha "Patsy" Chisholm (1st) wife.
In 1826, garland Purchased for $2000.00, 453 acres of land on the Locust
creek which joined his mother's property and that of his sister and
brother-in-law, Edmund C. Goodwin from William and Ann Day Cooke. Prior to
this transaction, the property had been owned by William Lipscomb who
purchased it from John Dickinson.
Patsy Waddy died five years later leaving her husband with small children.
The cause of her death or where she is buried is not known. the quaint home
that she and her husband shared for a brief time is still standing, occupied
and in good repair. It is located off Route 655 near Bethany Christian church.
Garland and Patsy had five children(known), four of whom married children of
Robert and Judith Goodwin of spring gardens. Sarah (Sally) married Semple
goodwin:anthony T. married Sarah Catherine Goodwin: Thomas C. married 1st
Sarah Graves, 2nd Lena Paul: William (Buck) married the widow of his brother,
Anthony T.,Sarah Catherine Goodwin Waddy: Martha married Robert Woodson
Goodwin.
Martha Patsy Dabney Chisholme waddy was the daughter of Thomas Chisholm and
his first wife Sara Dabney. Sarah had a brother, cornelius //Dabney Chisholme
born November 8, 1789, who married Sarah Elizabeth Swift, daughter of
Cleavers and Ann Mills Swift. cornelius was a solider in the 7th regiment,
War of 1812. A short time after the war, he and his family moved to South
Carolina (Chester).
Patsy's sisters were: Mary A. Chisholme who married in 1808, Stephan Crank:
Susanna C. Chisholme who married in 1806, Suprey Chisholm Possibly a relation
(son of Walter)
after Patsy's mother, Sarah Dabney Chisholme died, her father married
secondly, Elizabeth Gray, daughter of Henry Gray of Goochland co. in 1805.
the had six known children probably all born in SC, Thomas H. G.
Chisholm; Wm. D. Chisholme, Elizabeth Jane; Sarah David; Theo. Harriet;
Phoebe Maltilda chisholm.
Thomas Chisholme disposed of his Louisa holdings shortly after his marriage
in 1816 and moved to the Catawaba River area of Chester District in South
Carolina near cornelius Dabney.
Patsy Chisholme and Garland Waddy was married July 24, 1815
