Subject: {not a subscriber} Need help find ancestors or relatives of Hugh,
Daniel, and John Chisholm
> I'm looking for my ggggrandfather, Hugh Chisholm, born around 1823
possibly in Alabama. There was a Daniel Chisholm that married a Margaret
McLean... they were in Robeson County, N.C. in the early 1800s. They came
to Monroe County, AL in the mid to late 1830s and bought land. There were
land patents for Daniel, John, and a Hugh Chisholm, but Hugh does not show
up on the 1840 census there in Monroe County, AL. Daniel died in 1847.
Does anyone know what happened to the Chisholms that were there in Monroe
County, AL? I believe John Chisholm married Matilda Curry. There was a
Polly Chisholm in Monroe County who married an Archibald McMillan.
> Does anyone know about a Hugh Chisholm? If this is the same Hugh, he
married Mary Ann McMillan (also from Alabama) and they married Feb. 14, 1850
in Pensacola, FL. They had a son named Daniel born Dec. 25, 1850. Hugh
died or was killed and Mary Ann later remarried... Elijah Harrelson. Any
help would be appreciated.
