Hi. I know very little to nothing about my ancestry and was hoping
someone might know something.
My line comes from N.E. US and S.E. Canada. I believe my grandfather's
family came from Nova Scotia.
My grandfather was Frank Chisholm, had a brother Fred Chisholm, both
married to Gertrude (Palmer) Chisholm approximately 1900. Frank
Chisholm was her first husband and died after they had one child, then
his brother, Fred, married her and they had a dozen more children.
Names that might appear in your tree would be:
Frank Chisholm
Fred Chisholm
George Chisholm
Robert Chisholm
Howard Chisholm
Lyman Chisholm
Alice Chisholm
Lillian Chisholm
there were about 4 more children of Fred (Frank) and Gertrude.
Thanks for any help.

Hi,
Have you checked records of eastern Canada and the United States? My
grandmother was born Viola Beatrice Chisolm on Johns Is, South Carolina, sea
island off Charleston and in my research of the Chisholm surname I have been
lead to mainly to Canada and the lower eastern U. S. My grandmother's
paternal grand or gt-grandparents were slaves of a Chisholm/Chisolm in S. C.
so you'll find lots of information on that surname in Charleston and
Columbia and counties.
Good luck
In peace and harmony,
Fahamisha

Can anyone tell me any information about this John Chisholm? I found this
information while searching the Niagara Peninsula in Canada for graves and
inscriptions:
"John Chisholm, emigrated to Canada 1779, born 1746, died 1830. This must
have been one of the earliest of the United Empire Loyalists to come to this
country.
