Hello!
I am trying to help Scotland County's Heritage Book. Right now they
are trying to get enough interest to put together a Heritage Book
like most of the other North Carolina counties.
Sam West who also has Scotland County Roots sent me this email
below. Do you think you could write a little something on your
ancestors? I am told that you don't have to purchase to submit.
Can you help out? We really want a book.

Does anyone have information on the CHISHOLM ancestry of Henry Williams
CHISHOLM (1809-1901), who married my 2C3R Anna Louisa BELL in the mid-19th
century, in England?
Don Montague
whose mother was a BELL
Anybody know anything about the family of James CHISHOLM, goldsmith, born
about 1843 in Edinburgh, Scotland, who married Janet WATERSTON in 1870? I
have their descendants in some detail - happy to share - but would like to
see if James connects with some of my other CHISHOLMs
Don Montague
Martha Mary CHISHOLM married Henry DAVIDSON about 1805 in Scotland, and
their daughter Helen (christend in 1820 in East Lothian, Scotland) married
my 1C4R the Rev John COOK DD.
Anybody know anything about Martha Mary CHISHOLM's family? Perhaps related
to Other CHISHOLMs in my tree?
Don Montague
Does anyone know how/where I might contact Gilliam CHISHOLM who married my
third cousin Charles Jonathan BARKER in London, England in 1965? I'd
dearly like to ask her about her CHISHOLM ancestry, and see whether she
links with other CHISHOLMs in my family tree . . .
Don Montague
Georgina Aldington CHISHOLM married my 3C1R Lewis Gordon Sandeman (born 6
May 1882), had 10 children with him before she died in 1927 - and eleven
known grandchildren.
If anyone knows these names I'd very much like to make contact and share
what information I have - in particular about Georgina's ancestry, which
may connect with other CHISHOLMs in my tree.
Don Montague
who lays claim to at least 66 Sandeman cousins, most, alas, now pushing up
the daisies . . .
Ivon Prentice CHISHOLM is recorded as marrying my fourth cousin Evelyn
Hester SANDEMAN in 1932, and having two offspring, Jennifer Whitlock
CHISHOLM and Anthony Prentice CHISHOLM.
I'd much like to contact them or any of their descendants interested in
CHISHOLM family history, in the hopes of sharing information and perhaps
connecting them up with other CHISHOLMs in my rambling family tree
Don Montague
I've recently found the web site with the URL below, and wonder if anyone
knows who originated it?
http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~recb/chisoc/Medlam/ChisBell/chbh4.txt
I've tried everything I can think of to gain access to an address for its
originator, for I have much information to share on the Bell family who
were connected by marriage with the CHISHOLMs, as indicated at this site
For example, I have the pedigree of Bertha (on the web site, actually
Bethia) BELL of Dundee who married Hugh BELL of London, and seven more of
their children, and the names of thirteen of William BELL & Elizabeth
KINNEAR's children including Anna Luisa who married Henry Williams
CHISHOLM, and some of their descendants. But I lack a lot of information,
which the author of this page may well have stored away . . . ?
I'm practically busting with curiosity, and hope you will swiftly be able
to put me out of my misery!
Don Montague
Does anyone have any knowledge of the descendants of
Katanne/Kathn/Catharine CHISHOLM who married my distant cousin William
ARROTT on 17 May 1746 in Dundee, Scotland? I have the christenings of a
daughter Barbara and a son Andrew ARROTT from the IGI, and that's all . . .
Don Montague
Hello - I am Betty Chisholm Harris from Raleigh, MS - I looked over the Email
you forwarded concerning Audrey Chisholm Nelson (Mrs. FranK) who resided in
McHenry, IL in 1973 - Re: Jack CHISHOLM etc.
I do NOT recognize any of these family members in my research. Almost all of
my family members are from Smith County, MS (Raleigh, MS) I do have some
cousins location in Missouri - I will try and help you find the above and
should I find something, I will get back in touch with you.
Always, I am Betty Chisholm Harris
