Hello, I am hoping someone can help with this line.
I am searching for the son of John and Elleanor Gillentine Chisum of Amelia county, Va.
I have a deed made in Warren county, Kentucky 1804, by Elleanor Chisum who clearly named Elisha and Elijah as sons, she mentioned eight of her children and 11 grandchildren of her Estes family.
Elisha is very elusive.
Elisha was in Madison and Lincoln county, Kentucky,
also Garrad.
Elisha married Elizabeth Walden in 1787, Lincoln county, Kentucky, he also was on the tax list in Garrad county, 1799.
I am assuming Elizabeth Walden died and he remarried again. Elizabeth was the daughter of James and Anne Walden of Madison of Madison county.
Elisha was in Tennessee, his second wife Winnifred was attending the Spring Creek Baptists church with Elijah and his wife Lucy Clairborne Chism from 1803 to 1805, Wenny was dismissed by letter in 1805. But I can't find Elisha ?
Then I pick Elisha up from Lawrence county, Ark. from 1820 on the census, Lawrence was once a major part of Missouri.
Elisha died in 1827, leaving a will and nameing Wenny as his executor and a son named Washington Childers. he left a colt named belloway to Washington.
Possible other children of Elisha and Elizabeth Walden Chisum or Wenny are
Benjamin Chism who married Polly born 1803, North Carolina.
Elleanor Nellie Chism who married John Adam Walker Jr.
Simeon
George Washington,
Elizabeth Chism who married a Gray
Letcia who married a Dabney Wade Woodson.
Benjamin Chism born 1796 possibly Kentucky married Polly children
Isham, Henderson, James, John, Elizabeth, Wenny, William, Washington, Elisha.
William was born 1827. This is my line.
They all migrated to Izard and Independence county, Ark.
Benjamin Chism was in Independence 1831, and remained there until sometime after 1861, his son William ( Bill) Chism and He were on the voters poll tax list the previous years.
Wenny was listed in Lawrence county, Strawberry township, she to migrated to Izard county, Ark.
She was listed as a Pioneer and Maker of Ark. in 1831 as being over the age of 70.
I am hopeing someone can shed some light on this line from the years 1805 to 1820? I want to find out where they went.
Elisha would be a brother also to Obediah Chism and Elijah Chism who married Lucy Clairborne.
Some of Obediah's offspring settled in Newton county, Ark. about 1850.
This line is also connected to Cow John Simpson Chism.
I am hoping someone may know where they were between the years 1805 and 1820. Thanks Vickie
