What did you think of this Nathan person? It's sounded funny? Or something.
So, are you cold yet? Barbara (my sister in Wichita) says she's cold.
We finaly have our rof reshingled after the hurricanes. Or dining room
window is still boarded up. I don't know when Larry will get it replaced.
Hurricane Jeane shatter it and it was well boarded up. He has been so busy working
with hurricane relief , it's hard to get to us.
So many people are still in just bad condition our things are minor compared
to them.
So how is your Savanna? Mine is suppoed to come up Sat after I get of work
and wil go home on Mon.

Deah, I was going through some of my bookmarks and found one I didn't
know I had. It is strictly Morgan Co., MO. There is a list of
marriages from the early to late in Morgan Co. I found a Nathan Chism
who got married to Martha Letchworth Feb 20, 1840. I don't know if it
is any help, but here is the URL for it.

Thank you Tiss!

Sometimes you see the Dinwiddies name with the Chishams , but Hunter is new
to me. I've never read anything about the Chisham's owning slaves.
Try funyfarm(a)hit.net It's a distant cousin on mine
This is two posts about Hunters & Chisms in MO. Both names
are found
in my Dinwiddie line, but that is all I know about
them .
See, I do keep my eyes open for Chishams etc. ;-) Never
heard of this
Chism or this Hunter before. Hunters traveled with the
Dinwiddies for
many generations starting in PA.

I don't know if you're interested in this, but I've found some
slaves
belonging to Shores
Price Hunter, that were in his inventory on 15th March 1822.
Peter $450.00
Squire 500.00
Yourk 450.00
Harrey 600.00
Richmond 240.00
Wilson 200.00
Mecaly & Booker 600.00
Charlott 300.00
Saruy 325.00
Charles 300.00
Easter 100.00
Eady 500.00
Malinday 280.00
Gust 500.00
1 negro boy named Daniel 500.00
1 negro boy named Esau 450.00
Also there is a bad copy of a receipt showing Shores P. Hunter
inheritance
from his father's estate. One negro woman at $350.00 and for
the life of me
I cannot make out her name. It looks like CettS, with a
capital S at the
end. Sorry.
