Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Paul, that's interesting about the Kansas City area. We do know that at our great great grandfather Thomas Chisham was in the Kansas City area in the1800's. Now just who else might have been there or stayed there, I'm not sure. There were Chism's and Chisham in the Jackson county, Missouri area for a time, which is in the Kansas City area. It's quite possible that there were others that stayed in that area for several genearations. We haven't been able to find out who Thomas's parents were, or who any of his siblings might have been. A lot of what we do know is up on the Chisham family site at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~chisdid/
Here is a neat site that I haven't had a chance to completely explore yet,
but for those of you who are descended from Thomas Chisham, this is where he
departed from prior to his disappearance.
