The following information is from Elizabeth Pearson White's [EPW] book "John Howland of the Mayflower, Volume 3: The First Five Generations Documented Descendants Through his third child Hope Howland, Wife of John Chipman" published by Picton Press, 2008.
p. 150-155: Stephen Chipman's (b abt 1733 Smithtown, Long Island) parents were James Chipman, the son of John and Mary (Skiffe), and Mary Minor, the daughter of Benjamin and Mary (Saxon). His siblings were James (b 10 Aug 1719 Groton, Conn.), Mary (b 11 Jun 1722 Groton), Deborah (b 17 Jul 1724 Stoningham), Perez (b abt 1727 New London), John (b abt 1729 New London), and Benjamin (b abt 1731 Smithtown, Long Island, N.Y.)
Note that this information differs from John Hale Chipman III's [JHC] compilation "A Chipman Genealogy circa 183-1969" published by Chipman historics, 1970. In that reference on p. 19 only the following children are listed: James (b 10 Aug 1719), Mary (b 11 Jun 1722), and Deborah (b 17 Jul 1724). Additionally, JHC's book links Stephen, the husband of Agnes, to Perez Chipman.

I am working on this Chipman's line for my wife. Familysearch and ancestry.com has all the info. Can any email me the gedcom. This cut-and-pasting ancestor by ancestor is tedious. I need the whole family line. So does anyone have JANET (NIELSON) HANSEN b. 6 December 1921, Spanish Fork, Utah, Utah, United States gedcom upline? Or at least STEPHEN CHIPMAN on up? It will save me a bunch of cut and pasting!

Janice, thank you very much. Especially for monitoring this old thread and being willing to respond with your research.
I am hoping to link Amos Chipman (1751-1831) to possibly his father Amos ( b. 1727) and then to Thomas Chipman (1687-1752) for obvious reasons.
If you, or anyone, can verify this information, I will be forever grateful for the insight as I continue to do my own research.

Yes. Amos Chipman (1751-1831) and Abigail Boardman (1755-1821) had 11 children. Child number 10 is Hiram Chipman: born 06 May 1797 Sunderland, Bennington, VT; died 08 Sep 1837 Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo, MI; married in about 1820 to Sarah Doyle. In my records next to his name I have written: Probate Record 15 Nov 1838 - I didn't copy this record as HC is not in my direct line. Hope this helps - good luck - Janice

Is there research to show the names of Amos and Abigail's children? Is one of them Hiram/Hyram?
