some years ago I had a communication with Gusta (Ramsey) Chipman, wife of James Pinckney Chipman, son of James Washington Chipman; I do not know if it was in the form of a letter or phone call, but she told me that James Washington and Bettie were first cousins (I think it was first cousins once removed). Does anybody have a letter from her stating this information? I would love to have a copy of it.
Thanks for any help,

Hello Mary,
Not a lot new here of late. It has been a longggg time.
In 2004 , my wife and I were hit by a drunk driver coming home from voting.
We are ok, but I spent over a yr in physical therapy for my back. Now just
dealing with the drunk's insurance company ! YIKES !!!!
We both count our blessing everyday, as the police oficer said if it had not
been raining lightly, we probably would have been goners !! The woman t
boned us, and we spun on the wet pavement.
Nuf about that, I found just last week my realtives are emailing me about my
Chipman genealogy research. I guess they were not paying any attention when
I was parading it around after I got approved !
How have you been ?
Feel free to " bug" me anytime !!!!!
Cheers !
Mark

I want to make readers of this board aware of a Mayflower thread involving a southern Chipman line on the Rootsweb MAYFLOWER DESCENDANTS board under the general title "A southern Mayflower line of the Chipman family via Howland, Tilley & Warren."
On a related subject, I was recently "approached" with the idea of participating in a "blood test," for the purpose of DNA analysis. It is not possible to identify a specific ancestor, say, as far back as Ruling Elder John Chipman who d. in 1708, or some medieval figure. If anyone is approached with a similar proposal, it's a SCAM and I would recommend contacting your state's Attorney General.
