Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

I have a James William Hamilton that married two sisters. They were Jennette armenia Chipman m. 22 Jan 1882 and to Martha Alice Chipman 22 June 1882 both in Bandera Texas.
According to the History of Bandera Chipmans were mormons and had more than one wife. James was born in 1861 in Weakley Cty, Tenn, Died 13 May 1935 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. I need to know who James William's dad was. If you can help me it sure would be appreciated. Thanks

I am interested in Chipmans in NS. Would you have a Deborah, b. abt mid
1700's, d/o Handley Chipman of Cornwallis. Deborah married Thomas E.
Embree, loyalist, in Chester, NS, 1786, and at that time was shown as
'widow Hall (sic Hale)"
Controversy exists over whether Deborah's surname is indeed Chipman or
Bangs, and clarification would be appreciated.
