I am looking for proof that Stephen is the father of James Chipman who died in Bledsoe Co., Tn. after the 1830 census was completed. James' wife was Betsy (Elizabeth). Their sons William and Washington appear on the 1850 Madison Co., Tn. census and George appears on the 1850 Lauderdale Co., Tn. census.
