Hi Jan,
My E mail address is delongpemela(a)msn.com You can answer me directly.
These people are not my line, your family and mine branched off after Samuel 2.
I found the gal you refered to. The reason I didn't find her before is that her name is spelled Arsenath, not Aseneth. She did indeed marry Allen Lovelace but neither Arsenath nor any of her siblings are followed.
Her father Seth 6 has the following ancestors: William 5, Benjamin 4, Seth 3, Samuel 2, John 1.
This is what the book says: "Seth Chipman was born May 9, 1788 in Wilmot, ME. and lived in Poland, Me. When twenty-one years old, he went West, doing farm work and making spinning wheels. In 1847, active in town affairs of Whitehall, Ill, he was appointed Judge of the Green County Court. About 1850 he moved to Texas where he died. About 1818 he married Sarah Lorton.

This is on page 123 in "A Chipman Genealogy" by John Hale Chipman, III
That's all it says. There is more info on the ancestors if you are interested. If so, I will send you some copies, there is too much to type. I'll need your address and the assurance you will reimburse me for the copies and the postage. I hate to ask but I do this fairly often and it could get expensive. God bless, Pam in Michigan

Aseneth Chipman was listed in the John Hale Chipman book.
She is the daughter of Seth and Sarah Lorton Chipman.
She married Allan Lovelace -- her married name.
They--with parents Seth and Sarah Chipman moved from IL to TX where a large
contingent of Lovelace's were already living.
Seth had been a J.P. in IL and after being in TX for a short while, he became
a JP there also. They both died there--sarah after 1870, no record (as yet)
for Seth.

Hi Jan,
I do not know which Deborah you are looking for and there are several. Can you give me a date, middle initial or something, it's a lot of typing to give you info on all of them?
I looked up Asenath and----------
In the book, " A Chipman Genealogy" by John Hale Chipman III there are three Asenaths, no one listed as Asenath Chipman Lovelace. The first is the daughter of Lemuel 6 whose ancestors are (Lemuel 5, Samuel 4, Thomas 3, Samuel 2, John 1) and Laura Mead, daughter of Timothy and PHebe Mead of Manchester, Vermont.. She was born Nov. 13, 1812 and married in 1828, Marius C. Humprey. The next is the daughter of William Henry 7 whose ancestors are (Stephen 6, Baranabas 5, Amos 4, Thomas 3, Samuel 2, John 1) and Sarah Binns. She was born March 31, 1888 and died August 18, 1949; she married Milton Howard Pool. Unfortunately none of the three are followed in the book.
The index in the book only lists people with the last name of Chipman, seems to me I recall the name Lovelace but I am not sure where. I am tracing lines in at least 7 lines of my husband's and my families so it could have seen in in any of them.
God bless, Pam

I am interested in this query as well.
Not too many on this list in through here.
I have a descendant of John Chipman and Hope Howland's descendant Asenath
Chipman Lovelace and I am just dying to get her up to speed on her research.

Hi,
I had a request sent to me some time ago to look up Deborah Chipman. I had a virus and didn't want to send anyone any gifts sooooooooo it took me a long time to answer. I am up and going again. Someone had sent me this request and the address I had was
ruycarddoso(a)yahoo.com . I sent the info but it came back so either this address is old or I copied it wrong. Whoever sent this: if you will contact me, just reploy to this message and we can straighten out the address and I will send the info. My Email address is new. Pam
