Just an FYI. I'm not sure who this Downman was. Sure are a lot of them
intertwined with Chinns. Thought it was an interesting historical tidbit.

Anne....... was this in response to something or just an FYI.
I have seen this before and probably have it somewhere but for the life of
me can't remember now.
Who was Mrs. Mary A. Downman..... was this Benjamin's daughter?
I know I have his line at home but haven't entered it into the computer yet.

On the 20th ult., was sold the farm called Hazel Plain, in Prince William
County, Va., (better known as the Chinn farm,) containing 550 acres,
belonging to B. T. Chinn, for eight dollars an acre, to Mrs. Mary A.
Downman, executrix. This Farm is a portion of the plateau upon which were
bought the first and second battles of Manassas. When the war commenced it
was under a very high state of improvement.

Well the date wouldn't fit anyway. This Agnes d. 1920. Not knowing how
hold she was when she died.... she could theoretically be the daughter or
Richard Henry Chinn 1795-1847 of New Orleans. His family was originally
from the Lexington area. He - being the son of John Chinn and Mildred
Higgins which is very possibly where this lady got the name of HIGGINS for
her son Higgins Patterson and one of the pallbearers was Henry Chinn which
most likely could have been her brother. Not only was his middle name Henry

Fourteen children were born to RICHARD HENRY and ELIZABETH MOORE HOLMES
