Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I have to apologize for confusing the lists.
I sent that email to the Mayflower list as that was the subject of my email
and the topic regarding the posting of questions, descendants etc.
I cc'd all you other lists, Chinn, Wilson, Loudoun, White and Union
counties as that is where MY Mayflower descendants are. I didn't realize
how it sounded until it was mailed back to me. DUH..... Sorry, but the
connections were correct just not the first statement.
Janean
In recent discussions someone mentioned this list is for proven Mayflower
descendants and I got to thinking about that. If it's only for that, then
what do we have to talk about. It will be an endless circle of discussions
on the same people.
What if we THINK we might be but there is a missing link.... a missing
marriage..... I think we should share our collateral lines that connect to
our proven descendants for those out there who have yet to find their link
to the Mayflower but feel relatively sure they are.
I know the Allerton line is not well documented at least through children
with Fear Brewster so hopefully someone will find a possible link.

The Will of William Beale dated 9 Mar 1776, presented 6 July 1778, names
sons Thomas, William, Reuben, Richard, and Robert Beale; daus. Susanna,
Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth, Winifred Travers; and Mr. Williams Ball who m. my
dau. Ann. Sons Thomas, John and William Beale and sons-in-law Richard
Parker and Robert Wormley Carter were named executors, they to be guardians
of the infant children. There was prolonged litigation between 1778 and
1793 which reveals the names of the children and their spouses.

4. Elizabeth Lee m. Zachary Taylor
5. Zachary Taylor m. Alice Chew
5. Richard Taylor m. Sarah Dabney Strother
6. Pres. Zachary Taylor m. Margaret Mackall Smith.
Well I think that is about all I have to date. With the exception of my
line of Maj. Travers Tarpley and Betty Sydnor #5 and their children:
#6
Elizabeth Tarpley and Leroy Peachy don't have much on him but do have notes
that indicate he was William Peachy and mentions children.
Winnifred Tarpley and Charles McCarty - I have 8 McCarty children that could
have been born circa 1760/80 but have no families for them.
Lucy Tarpley and Lodswick Jones.. apparently had no children as Lucy leaves
everything to her sisters, nieces etc.
And from my line Fanny Tarpley and Rawleigh Chinn come the surnames of
Wilson (8 children), Myers (8 children) , Beveridge (no children)
Under Wilson we have:
Thompson, Rice, Crebs, Blue, Berry,.Myers, which covers the territories of
Union Co. Ky, White Co. IL, Loudoun Co. Va.
Hope someone recognizes something. Let me know. Janean
