Hi Janice:
Much work was done some years ago on the Ching/Chinn line by Verna
Mossong in New Zealand. Her data has a date of death for William
Ching (who married Grace of Breage) as 1734. (A Google search for
Ching + New Zealand will give you a number of hits on the Chings who
emigrated to NZ)
As you indicate, Philip Chin/Ching (b 1771) was married twice. His
second wife was Eleanor Pellow: they married 19 June 1825 at St
Keverne parish church.
My own Ching ancestry is this:
> William Chin b. ??/ died?? 1734 m Grace Unknown of Breage
> William Chin b. 1720 d. 1772 Keverne Parish m Avice/Avis
> James b. 1725 d. 1812
> William Ching b. 1749 d. 1824 Keverne m 21 Feb 1770
> Mary Williams
William Ching (bap St Keverne 1781, d. 1823) m. Mary Vague (ca
1779-1870)
James Ching (bap St Keverne 26 Dec 1806, buried Wendron 22 June
1853) m. Argent Thomas (1804-1879)
Argent Perry Ching (bap Wendron 1836-buried Porthleven 1909) m.
Richard Matthews (1836-1909) my great grandfather.
Argent Perry Ching had two brothers. I would be interested if anyone
has any information on them. They are Hannibal Thomas Ching (bap
Wendron, 19 April 1835) and Barzillai Thomas Ching (bap Wendron 24
Dec 1843).
