While searching the 1870 census in MO I found the following:
1870 New Madrid, New Madrid Co., MO (all in same household)
SCOTT, William, 28 AL farmer
SCOTT, Ephraim, 22 AL farm laborer
SCOTT, Robert, 17 MO farm laborer
CHIN, Lenard, 13 MO farm laborer
CHIN, Mack, 11 AR
KING, Mary, 13 MO
HENRY?, Nancy, 11 MO
CHINN, Nancy, 55 AL
I could find only one of these people in the 1880 census, and that was Mack CHIN.
1880 New Madrid, New Madrid Co., MO
DAVIS, John F., head, 27 MO -- -- farmer
DAVIS, America, wife, 30 AL -- --
CHIN, Mack, brother-in-law, 18 AR -- --
I could not find an America Chinn/Chin. I found a marriage record for John Davis & America E. Steiman, 4-25-1875 New Madrid Co., MO.
Can anyone identify any of these people? Please contact me if you can.
Thanks,
Randie
In searching the 1850 census I found Charles Chinn, age 73, born KY, chairmaker, listed in the home of Charles and Martha Neales(?) in Fleming Co., Division 2. Does anyone know who this Charles Chinn was, who his parents were, etc..
