I'm sorry I don't. My very early Chinn's were already here in the 16 to 1700's. I have forwarded your question to the Chinn list server to see if anyone responds. Good luck on your research. Janean

Subject: Samuel Chinn 1707 War of Spanish Succession GenForum
Hello,
I found you at GenForum. I am not an Chinn descendant but I am doing research on a document I recently purchased. I am a collector & dealer & just bought an authentic 1707 muster roll for a regiment of marines under Colonel Joshua Churchill. One of the marines listed is Samuel Chinn. Can you tell me anything about him? The marines were participating in the War of Spanish Succession at a seige of the castle at Alicant in Spain at the time of the document. A transcription as well as pictures of the document itself can be seen at the following link:
Roll of Honour - Regiments - 31st (Huntingdonshire) Regt of Foot - Muster 1707
I am just beginning my research on this document. I find it very interesting. I intend to research each of the more than 60 surnames listed that served with Colonel Churchill and then to compile all of the information that I gather to accompany the piece when I offer it for sale. After I complete my compilation, I am glad to offer that to you, as a thank you for your help in the effort.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Joy Shviar

Just inquiring..... I sent a test e-mail out to a couple of my lists that
had been pretty quiet. This one and another one took 3 days for me to
receive it back. Wonder why?
