Hello listers, I joined this list a few years ago and then unsubscribed while I had a break. I thought I would just reintroduce myself and give you a quick rundown of my CHINN family.
My earliest known CHINN is William CHINN. His father was Walter CHING who married Mary (last name unknown). William was born 9 April 1769 in Phillack, Cornwall and he married Mary Thomas on 19 Oct 1793. They had 4 children that I know of.

William Hill CHINN went on to marry Ema Jane PASCOE on 17 April 1901 in Reefton, West Coast, New Zealand and they had 6 children
Alice Louise
Elise Caroline
William Thomas
Lillian Elizabeth
Alfred James
Ivy Lilla
Alice is my husbands grandmother and she is still alive in New Zealand today. Most of the children were born in Reefton and Alices' father has written a lovely book called Pack Track to highway. It's an autobiography and is a very valuable source to our family history.
If anyone has any information about this family, I would love to hear from You.
