George Chilvers has published his first book about Chilvers ancestry - see
synopsis below.
There is a chapter in the book about our DNA project. Up to now we have
found two unrelated types of Y-DNA and that could mean that not all of us
Chilvers have common ancestry. It would be very helpful to get more
participants into the project. Please look at the way that the project is
shaping up via the links below and talk to your Chilvers (male) contacts and
try to persuade them to join us.
If you would like to buy a copy of George's book (which is a jolly good
read) go to www.lulu.com and enter Chilvers in the search box.
Best wishes to you all,
Richard.

"The story of the Chilvers family who lived in Old Buckenham in the
19th century, as well as many who lived in neighbouring villages.
This is a story that covers rural life in Norfolk at the time, and
encompasses at various points smuggling, a mysterious murder, Don
Bradman, the Ian Paisley of the 1920s, the Duke of Wellington, debtor's
prison and Captain Mainwaring.
And you thought we Chilvers were boring:-) "
