News & updates
* Big Y matching is coming! Over the course of the next two weeks
we will begin a phased release of Big Y matching so you can
directly compare your comprehensive Y-DNA results to those of
other Big Y test takers. The key to identifying all new SNPs and
subclades is finally here!
* Family Finder was recently improved with the release of myOrigins,
an all new ethnicity tool allowing you to compare your ethnic
breakdown to that of your matches while providing more detailed
information on your ethnic heritage than ever before!
If you have only tested with Ancestry, you might read the following and
think about having your results transferred.

Project Administrator with FamilyTreeDNA
Dear Group Administrators,
On Thursday, Ancestry.com™ announced that they will no longer sell Y-DNA
and mtDNA tests. Additionally, the results from past Y-DNA and mtDNA
tests will no longer be available after September 5, 2014.
There are no guarantee on what the future holds for Ancestry.com's™
autosomal DNA offering so we strongly recommend that you tell people
that tested with Ancestry.com™ to transfer their Y-DNA
<http://sendgrid.familytreedna.com/wf/click?upn=HQyJJcAJOG-2FE9UCORIaRzQcn...>
and Autosomal DNA
<http://sendgrid.familytreedna.com/wf/click?upn=HQyJJcAJOG-2FE9UCORIaRzQcn...>
to Family Tree DNA where our main focus is genetic genealogy. mtDNA is
not transferable because of compatibility issues.
Family Tree DNA is committed to supporting these valuable genealogical
tests today and in the future. You should encourage anyone who has
tested with Ancestry.com™ to transfer

This DNA project is open to any male with the last name of Shelton,
Skelton, Chilton or any other spelling that may have been written in
records where there is some confusion. This is a cheek swab test, no
needles. A kit is sent right to your home. The results take up to 6
weeks from when the kit is returned. Having your results published is
optional. You can keep your results totally private. Please start
with the 25 marker test as there is not enough information given in the
12 marker test to separate you out from several of the lines.
To see if your DNA matches anyone who has already tested, you can order
a kit here:

Tina Hall has had to change our DNA web site to the following address.
This page may also answer some of your questions.

Because the complete list is getting too large to send in its entirety,
I will only show new results. To view all of the
results, please see our web page.
SH-148 was added this morning and was not listed in the testers newsletter.
The information on this page is only accurate on this particular date
