To follow up on Janis' post, James Chilton, who moved to Madison Co., Missouri, was the son of Thomas Chilton and Sapharonia Baird. They had five children that I know of: James (1775-1829), Ann, Ellenor, Cynthia (sorry, no birth dates on those), and Thomas Coot Chilton (b. 1791).

> Eric - - I do not have any WILSON connected to my CHILTON family in Missouri, but I can help identify the CHILTON's in Wayne Co Missouri in Census of 1830, 1850. There are multiple CHILTON's in 1830 Wayne Co MO from the James Chilton / Nancy Clark line. Those being Francis, Thomas, Jesse C. and others. James Chilton born about 1775 in Frederick Co MD and Nancy Clark were married 1796, so that would be too late to have a dau. named Ellender/Eleanor. That does not mean Eleanor is not from this family line. James and Nancy Clark were in Madison Co Missouri. Their eleven children have been pretty well identified. I know one dau. of theirs - Susan Sarah who married my CLAY was married in Methodist Church in Madison County, and you mentioned the Wilson was Baptist. Parents of James is also James Chilton [b.1740] and Ann Unknown. It might be possible they had a female child. So far we only know about four children: Sary, John, Jesse and James [noted]. As far as checking D!

Hi guys,
I am reaching a person that I'm almost certain comes from the Missouri CHILTONs. His name is James Chilton WILSON, b. 1819 in MO. He is the son of Edward WILLSON and Ellinder (possibly CHILTON) b. 1789.
Edward and family appar in the 1830 Wayne County, MO (lower fifth of the state) census along side several CHILTON families.. Then also in the minute books of the Bethany Baptist Church, Madison County, MO from 1833 through 1835.
Has this male CHILTON line had DNA testing performed?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Message Board Post:
Anyone have some info on Samuel Chilton whose daughter, Mary, was born in c. 1828 in Robertson, Tennessee? Was he NOT the same Samuel Chilton from Virginia who was a politician in Virginia? I sincerely doubt that they were the same person.
All I know is that his daughter Mary was married to a Robert Ring of Iowa or Illinois. That's all I know about Samuel Chilton.
Any additional info on him would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
