My husband's GGrandma Was Mary Victoria Daws and her daughter was Mary Virginia. It was said that something happened to Mary V.'s mother and dad, and that an Aunt Mary raised her from about 14 to 16 yrs old. I think the Mary {Polly she was called} was married to Charles Foster. Mary V and the Fosters were in 1860 census of Marshall Co. Tn. Also Mary V. was with husband Adams and 1 child in Marshall Co. in 1870 census. Please contact me at suzyq35(a)embarqmail.com.

There are DNA tests for lots of last names. If your last name has an
established testing group for your name, it's better to test with them.
Yes, you could easily be a Chilton by DNA and have been adopted by
another family and have their last name. It's very, very difficult to
have Chilton DNA and not be a Chilton. You can check the
Familytreedna.com for the list of names.
