Lawrence married Malinda Ellen Powell January 1, 1878 in Henry Co. KY. They had a Daughter Laura Chilton B. 6-26-1883 D. 01-14-1938 Laura married William Jackson but I cannot find any record of this marriage.
Laura (Chilton) is my husband's great grandmother. I think that makes John S. a gggg grandfather.

I am looking for any info on my grandfathers family. His name was Colquit Thomas McCutcheon. I have no idea where he was born, but SS records indicate SS card was issued in Kansas. Attended high school in Dallas. Married Laura Mary Chilton. Had 3 children Joseph Thomas (my dad), James, and Betty Lou. Worked for H J Heinz at time of death in 1954.
I am looking for any information on my grandmother, Laura Mary Chiltons family. She was married to Colquit McCutcheon. She had siters Elizabeth, Louise and brother Ewing. I'm not sure of place of birth but the family settled in or around Comanche TX. I believe her mothers maiden name was Murdoch.
Mr. Kroger,
I have a Sarah Chilton listed in my lineage. Her mother Martha died in Loudon County, VA on October 1, 1772. Her father was John Chilton d/1767 in Fredrick Co.
Any information you have would be appreciated.
Thanks, Jeff Chilton.
Check here http://molecular-genealogy.byu.edu/. I'm not connected with BYU.
But I did let them take my blood. BYU is located in Provo about 3 hours
south of me. They were in Idaho Falls near the first of the year.

DNA RESEARCH TO LINK FAMILIES TO ANCESTORS
See http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,295015073,00.html
Researchers at BYU have spent 17 months searching for people willing to
donate blood and reveal pieces of their family history. The aim of the
research is to collect samples of blood, from which DNA is taken, and
family histories from at least 100,000 people. This week, samples are
being taken from history hunters at BYU's annual Genealogy and Family
History Conference. In the next three months, BYU researchers will head to
Massachusetts, Georgia, Montana, Iowa, Arizona, Texas, and California to
gather samples and talk about the project.
I am looking for any information on Henry CHILTON from England(don't know what part) born around 1830. He married Bridget LOUGHNANE who came from Ireland (don't know what part) in 1860 in Sydney, Australia. His occupation on his marriage certificate is given as Bootmaker. His son William (also a bootmaker) was married in 1904 to Ellen Gertrude LEWIN and at the time of their marriage both William's parents were deceased.
Would like to hear from anyone researching these CHILTONS.
Christine
