My great grandmother Donia Chiles was born in Illinois about 1882. Her mother was Mary Angeline Roach born about 1862 in Illinois. She married twice to a Chiles and to Joseph Fox. Some of the places I think they may have lived are Carlinville, Carbondale. and Anna Illinois. Donia moved to Missouri and Married John Will Snider. She also lived in Arkansas. She may have had a brother Frank who moved to TN. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jeff ! I just came across your message (I am on a fact finding mission on the East Coast - "looking for dead relatives" and can only check my mail via remote). I have extensive Chiles/Childs files at home. I am fairly certain it covers the people you are interested in. I plan to return home around the end of January (with all my "finds" !!) and I will access to all my files at that time. Keep in touch. Gary

The below link may help you in your research of Chiles Family Members.
I am also related to the Chiles family through Lewis Bell Chiles, Sr. You will find Lewis Bell Chiles, Sr. listed under #868.
Other interesting people include President Tyler listed under #502, and Milton under #826
I hope we can continue to talk.

My ancestor Milton Chiles was born 1792 in South Carolina, d.21, Feb 1876 in Bienville Parish, LA Married Martha Sara Ann Martin in 1830. She was born in 1798 in Abbeville Co., SC. Is this the same line of Chiles as yours, or connected in any way, I have not been working on Chiles for long. Sara's mother was Nancy Henning and her father was George Washington Martin.
Has your research crossed this particular line before? Please respond to sandrafrank(a)bellsouth.net - Thanks
