Yes, I used Tidewater VA FAmilies and I also used Tidewater VA Families Generations Beyond by Davis. The second book she untangles the Page from from the Chiles family. The John Page family is not related to the Chiles family. I used several other books to back up the Tidewater books. If you have access to HeritageQuest you can get lots of information from their website. Be sure and make copies of the title page of what ever books you use.
I sent a letter to a sponser & in about 3 weeks I got a letter from The Jamestowne Society telling me the next step & that was to buy their software and get my paperwork generation by generation with proofs together. Which I did and mailed the paperwork along with my check to the society and it took a little more than a week to get a response that they had accepted my paperwork & I was a member.
If I can be of any help, please let me know.

I'm ready to prove the Chiles' line, Walter I, Walter II, through son John. Did you use "Tidewater Families of Virginia" as your proof?
How long did it take to get a response back? I am intrerested in discussing this with you.

Schockoe cemetery is older than Hollywood cemetery. It is located in Richmond, Va, north of the city. To reach it take 5th St north, turn to 4th St, to hospital, turn left, go one block. It is between 2nd and 3rd or hospital. There is a low brick wall across from an old nursing home. The records are in the City Hall, Rm 413, 900 E Broad St, Richmond, VA 23219, near the Virginia State Library.
The first five children buried in the Chiles plot were the children of James R. Chiles and his first wife, Martha Granger. Next is Martha (Mrs MA) Granger Chiles, buried only nine days after her unnamed infant. John Jackson, son of James R. and Martha (Granger) Chiles, was the next to be interred. He was followed by James R. Chiles himself, a victim of pneumonia in the winter of 1869/70. The next child, a stillborn daughter, was evidently the daughter of William H. Chiles, and granddaughter of James and Martha Chiles. Walter S. Chiles, son of James and Martha Chiles, was a machinist. He died in Covington, Va, not W. Va. Ciscelia A. Granger, mother of Martha and Emma Granger was the next to be buried here. Her name is given here as Cestillia, but that is no doubt a misspelling for Ciscelia. Her husband, William A. Granger, presumably dead for at least 18 years before this time was not buried with his wife. Where he was buried is not known at present. James LB Chiles, less tha!
n a year old when he died in 1880, must have been James and Emma (Granger) Chiles's son. The next three to be buried here were grandchildren were grandchildren of Emma Granger and her first husband, Thomas Rudd. PH Rudd was the child of their son, Arthur Paul Rudd. Edward H. Rudd was probably the son of Edward Rudd and his wife, Belle, and named for his father. Belle died (suicide) shortly after the death of her son. Thomas L. Rudd must have been another son of Arthur Paul Rudd. Emma died in 1911 and is interred here, but her first husband is not. The last two listed babies, both named Emma but without dates, could be nieces of Martha and Emma Granger. Although it was not unusual to give the same name to another child if the first named child had died, it is doubtful if these two little Emmas were sisters of Emma Grange Chiles, born prior to 1832, the surviving Emma's birthdate, many years before the first recorded interment in this plot.
