Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Get the name you always wanted with the new y7mail email address. www.yahoo7.com.au/y7mail
It wasn't rootsweb's fault.
The lady has her email set to send a reply automatically when she receives
an email.
Every time something was sent from the Childs list (including her OWN
auto-replies), the same auto-reply message was sent again, multiplying the
number of auto-replies. It effectively set up a loop: get a message, send an
auto-reply, and it didn't care how many there were or the source, another
auto-reply was being sent. If that lady is using that same email addy for 10
lists, if there is even one email sent to it, her mail box will likely be
full by the time she gets back, as auto-replies mount up, unless her addy is
removed from the other lists also.
The only solution was to remove the email address from the list, to stop
them from showing up.
The moral to the story is: don't use an email addy for a mail list for which
you have an auto-reply set up in your absence.
