Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Samuel CHILDS, unknown, m. 1800, Margaret FAVILL, who had been a
baker's wife. William FAVILL died of the yellow fever in Philadelphia
in 1793. Margaret had been a KILLINGER, the daughter of Elizabeth
Bennet and George KILLINGER, born in the 1760's.
Samuel CHILDS and Margaret Killinger Favill CHILDS had issue:
George K[illinger?] CHILDS. He eventually became the Chief Coiner for
the U.S. Mint at Philadelphia. Before that he was listed as a
silversmith.
There followed a wedding to Sarah D. BURLING, issue:
George K. CHILDS II.
He married an Elizabeth W. ? and had issue:
George K. CHILDS III, Richard CHILDS, and John D. CHILDS.
Anyone have any connection, or idea where Samuel was likely to have
come from, etc.?
