Hello Mr. Childers
I wish I had more information for you but all I have is what my cousin Ruth Bain Clark Lamphier gave to me before she died. She was researching the Bain linage and didn't have anything else on the Childress line.
Wish I could have been of more help to you.
Good luck with your research

Hello,
I am a descendant of Elijah Childress and I was wondering if your notes had any mention of who Isaac and Elijah's parents were. I have only beeen able to get as far back as McMinn County TN with this branch of the family. I descend from Elijah's son Andy Childress and that branch ended up in Morgan County Alabama.
If I may ask, who was your cousin? I try to keep up with obituaries, but since our children have gotten a little older, their activities keep us busy. :)
I hope to hear from you,
Richard Childers
