Isaac Childress was born in 1808 and Flemuel Jr. was born abt. 1820, so Isaac is probably not Flemuel's father. Lemuel was born about 1775 which makes him about 23 years older than Isaac. It is very likely that Isaac is closely related to Flemuel Jr. and Catherine (b. 1822) since he is listed as living next door to them in McMinn County, TN on the removal census. Perhaps he was a full or half sibling to one of them. Lemuel clearly had at least one child who was not mentioned on Cherokee applications as evidenced on "Southeastern Native American Documents, 1730-1842 (GALILEO) since a Samuel Lemmons had a valuation on the Connasauga River in Tennesee or Georgia where "William Childers lives." Lemmons
received this valuation from Lemuel Childers after Samuel married a daughter of Lemuel.
