Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Were the twins of William Walker Childress and Virginia Louise Redditt (?Reddick). Both parents died around 1892. the oldest brother William Arthur went to live with Nancy Childress Bibb (found in the Census). I cannot find where the twins were sent. Virgie was a little less than honest on most of her paperwork...she listed her DOB as 1891...her twin brother listed his as 1888....

grandpa childress was born in gibson tenn. in may 19, 1898, has a W.W.I. draft card @ 1917-1918 @ 20 yrs. old. His father was George Washington Childress of the 1st confederate cavalry and his mom was Melia Childress. George settled in Swan Creek, Lewis co. Tenn.
