I found this weekend a possible Childress to test in my line. I am trying
to do some further research before I request a kit. My Alexander Childress
in found on property once granted to Philimon Childress in Virginia and very
very close to the Abraham Childress site. I cannot link my Alexander
Childress to any parents. I also have a Joseph Childress located same area
cannot hook him up with parents either. I consider them to be maybe
brothers. This family is related to Wariners, Lindseys, Gills, Gathrights,
Truman, Frayser. Can anyone in the DNA group trace back to Virginia? I
also participate in two other DNA groups and they too are of the Viking
group. Can anyone of the Abraham group see a connection to my line. Marie

Hi Marie,
How interesting! What place or country in Virginia are you talking about?
Also, do you have ARW papers for Alexander Childress or what he in that age
bracket? Thanks...

The website has been updated with the latest information and additions.
Rebecca Graham has submitted her latest transcription of the 1840 Census for
Georgia, Florida and Illinois and a big thanks to Vernon L. Cude for his
submission transcription of two versions of John Pleasant of Curls Will!
It's contributors like these that make the site work. Thanks all!
Assistance and information is still solicited and your help is appreciated.
Thanks and happy hunting!!!
